Heretical, I'd like you to meet JamesSmith.

I have only one comment, and granted, it's a nit-picky one. Doctors and TSA agents wear blue gloves, yes. But those blue gloves are NON-LATEX. They have to wear poly-nitrile gloves because of the chance they might come in contact with someone who has a latex allergy. Lack of attention to detail annoys me.

IGolfBad | 06/07/2011 flag |
@mweber666
Of course, you know his response will be that only unintelligent morons would stir up a hornets nest. But yes... it's way too easy. -
mweber666 | 06/07/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
That's a classic response right there.
"Instead, you quote an eight year old government paper, assuming nothing new has happened since then"
Of course the source is 8 years old, your idea is neither new nor original. I base my argument on fact, yours is based purely on speculation that something "new has happened since then".
"That this has been considered as an option and that it is feasible when the correct agents become available."
An option is not feasible if you're still waiting for the main component to be invented. This would be equal to me suggesting that going back in time and preventing the terrorists from being born is feasible, just have to wait for the time machine to be created.
I could also mention how your "idea" is
1) Reactive rather than proactive. I think most security experts would agree it's better to identify the terrorist before he's in a plane 30,000 feet in the air.
2)Not going to prevent a bomb detonation, refer to 1 above.
3)Going to knock everyone unconscious excluding pilots. If the plane were to lose cabin pressure, congratulations, you now have 300 unconscious passengers unable to put oxygen masks on.
I could come up with way more reasons why this is a bad idea, where your argument is "I don't want that guy to give me a pat down".
@IGolfBad, this is way too easy, like poking a nest full of retarded hornets ;) -
IGolfBad | 06/07/2011 flag |
My turn to apologize, JamesSmith. Didn't scroll down far enough first.
Symptoms resolved, but you remain fucking pathetic.
Welcome back, mwebber666. Good to see you. -
IGolfBad | 06/07/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
Now you can't even get who you're ranting to straight. That's twice now you've called me the wrong name. That's a pattern, and in medicine, we call that a symptom. Get help.
You're still fucking pathetic. (I can do this all day. It's fun.) -
James Smith | 06/07/2011 flag |
@mweber666 You are an total idiot. YOu assume you know everything including research in progress and unannounced products being protected by pharmaceutical companies.
Instead, you quote an eight year old government paper, assuming nothing new has happened since then. Instead of helping your case, it proves that I am right. That this has been considered as an option and that it is feasible when the correct agents become available. This is exactly what I said. So you are the fool. You don't even know when you are shooting yourself in the foot.
You are the troll, and a very stupid one at that. I am always amazed at how often ignorance and arrogance are found together. It seems the more stupid someone, like you, is. The more proud they are about it and defiantly remain that way.
I have no more time to deal with morons like you that are arrogant about their ignorance. I'm behind in making videos and photo-editing for people far smarter than you will ever be. Come to Brazil, I'll pay your way. Then we'll see how you talk when your cowardly skin is in the game. I'll even arrange for video of the confrontation. With that, everyone will be able to see how quickly you either back down or get beaten down. Either one would be equally satisfying to me.
You want to be a man, send me your information on Yahoo Messenger at slrman420. I have no more time to waste on fools like you. So, obey the biblical imperative to "Go forth and multiply thyself." (Brother Dave Gardner, 1962) -
mweber666 | 06/07/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
I could sit here and write why your idea is A) unoriginal and B) infeasible, but I will just do both by quoting a reliable source:
"Anesthetics or calmative chemicals could, in principle, be
developed into a system whereby they could be remotely released into the
cabin in order to incapacitate all passengers, and the hijackers, until the plane can be landed safely. Chemical systems of this type have not been employed in the field, however, and remain under study or in development. Also, the effects of these chemicals are not rapid and so may not work fast enough to thwart an attack. Chemical agents used in the cabin may also create unacceptable risks to the health of vulnerable passengers (e.g., infants and those with asthma or other respiratory problems). Finally, the use of these weapons could prevent other passengers from assisting in immobilizing or restraining hijackers."
Source: Subcommittee on Aviation Hearing on Arming Flight Crews Against Terrorist Acts (http://www.hsdl.org/?view&doc=7661&coll=limited)
Please take your trolling elsewhere, and stop pawning ideas off as your own, you are truly a pathetic know-it-all; this country is much better off without you here. -
IGolfBad | 06/06/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
Nice one, ass... you just villified mweber666 for something I posted. Where's your apology to him?
It is truly the weak man who has to resort to violent retaliation when words are spoken about him. It is a real man who walks away from violent confrontation, strong enough in his convictions that is not swayed nor cares about any threats made by the simple minded.
You are a weak-minded poorly aged excuse of a human being.
Now, genius, list forth the questions you so boldly claim I am avoiding and I shall address each of them with the consideration they deserve.
That is, unless you apologize to the gentleman mweber666.
BTW - I can admit occasional typos, but I am strong enough not to belittle others for theirs. Too bad you cannot claim to be the same. -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
@mweber66 As always, you have a comprehension deficit the size of Olympus Mons. Yes, they were deported after hitting me first then having their nose smashed, knee broken and shoulder dislocated. All of which took me about 6 seconds after they hit me. As the initial hit was observed my the policia civil they were promptly arrested, and charged with assault upon a senior person. (Senior citizens get a lot of respect here)
They were fined, as I recall, about R$12,000.00 Of that, R$2,000 was mine ans victim's compensation. At that time, R$ 12,000 was about $6,000 USD.
So, as usual, you spout off without knowing any facts. But then, facts would ruin your entire world view, wouldn't they?
I am a hypocrite? I am the one putting my money and my skin where my mouth is. You are the one hiding behind your keyboard. If you are such an ethical, upstanding citizen, you could match my offer and fly me to where you are. But I know you'd never show without a platoon of police to protect your cowardly hide.
Come on, you yellow-bellied bum. Answer a question. Be a man. Put up or slink away again. What a stupid, little bug you are. -
IGolfBad | 06/06/2011 flag |
@mwebber666
More JamesSmith contradictions - he claims that we weak-minded fools hide behind the protection of the internet, and offers airfare to bring us to Brazil so he can personally beat us into a "bloody bag of bones". Yet when someone actually took him up on his offer, this happened, again per JamesSmiths own recount:
"...one person has actually done that and I did purchase them a ticket. They did show up, and they were eventually deported after some jail time and a large fine."
So by his own admission, JamesSmith is nothing more than a loud mouthed coward who hides behind the protection of his government.
I retract my claim that he is fucking pathetic and now claim that is a fucking pathetic hypocrite.
Also took the time to read some of his articles on the lunch.com blog. While intelligently written, I found them to be banal and stultifying, and I desperately wanted to turn back to hands of time to regain the precious moments wasted reading them.
Good day, mweber666, my friend - you are a true warrior in the fight against the Brazilian expatriate. -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
I was waiting for the idiot of all time to reply. YOu have STILL not responded to one thing I have posted, not answered a single question. I repeat, you are an intellectual, ethical, and physical coward.
I have the courage of my convictions, and the ethics to put my skin and money where my mouth is. When are you going to do either? That's another rhetorical question because everyone knows you are terrified of any of that. What a sniveling little worm you are.
When you can state truthfully (you do understand truthfully?) that you have never made a typo or error of any kind, you can talk. Until then, put up or shut up, you arrogant little bird brain. I would love to have you face to face with me. I'll even arrange to have a video made so I can post it showing you crying and groveling. But you would never dare be in the same country with me, would you? You age a disgusting example of a human being. Are you certain none of your family has put out a contract on you? Or have they disavowed all knowledge of you years ago?
Yes, you would be a bloody bag of broken bones if you ever talked to me in person like that. Instead, you cower behind your keyboard demonstrating what a sorry excuse for a human being you are.
You might note, even though it is painful to you, that I was big enough to apologize to J, Grabber for my mistake. But you cannot even admit that you have ever made a mistake. What a piece (not peace) of excrement you are. -
IGolfBad | 06/06/2011 flag |
For the edification of everyone:
The Collins English Dictionary, a troll is "a person who submits deliberately inflammatory articles to an internet discussion".
Per the Dictionary of American Slang and Colloquial Expressions, a troll is "an internet user who sends inflammatory or provocative messages designed to elicit negative responses or start a flame-war. (As a fisherman trolls for an unsuspecting fish.) : 'Don't answer those silly messages. Some troll is just looking for an argument.' "
Deny that, JamesSmith -
IGolfBad | 06/06/2011 flag |
@mweber666
Great link, btw. Nice to know Killjoy has been hard at work honing his craft.
Here are some examples of his double speak:
From April 17 at 12:21 pm "First of all, it’s “piece” not “peace”."
This is especially funny since a lot of his early posts in that thread are wrought with typos and grammatical errors.
From the same post: "If you need a system of threats and rewards to behave like a decent human being, you are already lost as a good person."
This is especially funny, for not only in this thread, but in our very own Venn Diagram discussion, he seems set on bringing down the wrath of nature on someone, as evidenced by his post of April 18 at 5:00 pm:
"And you will be a bag of bloody broken bones if you ever have the nerve to face me personally. Even then, it’s better treatment than a intellectual, ethical, and physical coward like you deserves."
Sadly, as I am intellectually inferior, I have no idea how to do an internet search, and then cut and paste the discovered information into a new document. Then again, by his own accounts, he is already lost as a good person. Embrace your flaws, Sir James. They are numerous. -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
@J. Grabber We are still not communicating. I was apologizing to YOU for not noticing that you were not mweber666. As you said, you have nothing needing an apology. I was the one making the mistaken identity. Again, my bad, sorry about that.
You are right about another thing, too. Only an absolute fool would provide that information to a stranger on the internet. But I feel that describes mwebber very well.
FYI, one person has actually done that and I did purchase them a ticket. They did show up, and they were eventually deported after some jail time and a large fine.
A few years ago, an airline pilot and, unbelievably, a retired banker with both jailed, heavily fined, and eventually deported for making a disrespectful gesture to a customs officer. You may remember the cases. It was on a lot of news sites, and I presume, American TV. -
J. Grabber | 06/06/2011 flag |
Understood.
-
J. Grabber | 06/06/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith. While the free vacation sounds tempting, I would be an absolute fool to provide a stranger with such information and an even larger fool to visit a stranger by myself in a foreign country. I do have a question: why would I be expected to apologize to you? I've said nothing that requires such further action. You're right, I didn't answer any questions, because I already stated that I was done with this debate. I have not said one word pertaining to this debate since that moment.
-
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
J Grabber. I apologize. I thought I was replying to mwebber666. I didn't notice you were someone different. That's very embarrassing for me. I simply didn't pay attention to the poster name.
Well, I never claimed to be brilliant, only in comparison to people like mwebber666 and IGolfBad. That's not really a great accomplishment, is it? It's certainly nothing to give anyone bragging rights over. It has been fun, but is becoming slightly boring. They are too easy.
Again, my apologies for the mistaken ID. -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
Don't worry about the round trip. People being deported are either at the expense of the airlines or their country's consulate. Your face will be the very least of your problems.
But you can send me your information via Yahoo Messenger to slrman420. I'll need your real name, address, telephone, passport number, and age. You will need a Brazilian Visa. Those are obtainable either in person or by mail from the closest Brazilian Consular office. That's a $100 fee that I cannot pay for you. But, if you show up, I'll give you an envelop with an American $100 bill in it.
After that, you will have a chance to apologize, or continue to act like the arrogant jerk you have been on here and endure the consequences.
One more thing, you won't need a hostel. Your accommodations will be courtesy of the state of Paraiba.
You still have evaded all questions or any response that implies a mental agility beyond that of a soap dish. -
J. Grabber | 06/06/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith. Btw, "troll" in this case would not be an insult. If you are indeed trolling, then a very successful troll you make, sir!
-
J. Grabber | 06/06/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith Is this round trip airfare that you are offering? The offer sounds awfully tempting. Even if my face were to get pounded, at least I'd get a much needed vacation out of it. No need to put me up; I can stay in a hostel.
-
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
Then you will also be grateful that I am pointing out that you have not responded to a single question. Like, "What wasn't logical?" I should also note that you have ignored my invitation for a free trip.
No one is surprised at any of that. When you have no answer that will only embarrass you more, it's better to ignore those things and pretend they never happened. Then you can perhaps salvage a few scraps of your pitiful ego.
You also are pathetic with your insults. "Troll" is the most common insult on the internet. You obviously use that without even knowing what it means. Your understanding of most things seem to be on a level that precludes useful comprehension of things that are obvious to a normal intelligence.
You might benefit from looking at a few things I have written and done for people of normal intelligence. I've given web sites on here, but here's another one. http://www.lunch.com. Search on slrman. I am aware that the articles on there, like my blog will be far above your ability to understand, but you may enjoy basking in the light of someone, while not brilliant, is still far above you. -
mweber666 | 06/06/2011 flag |
Thank God you pointed out I am an ethical simpleton, I was beginning to wonder if anyone had noticed.
-
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
mweber666 AT last, you are right about something! We even agree! This is fun. I always enjoy making people like you show themselves to be total fools. Then, when you add coward and ethical simpleton, it only makes it better for me.
BTW, as I said before, obscene language is a sign of a weak mind attempting to express itself forcefully. Thank you for affirming that for me. Keep it up. I am having lots of fun. Also as I said below, you must have some innate masochistic urge to keep coming back for more humiliation. I know you are incapable of understanding this, but you are engaging way outside your capabilities. -
mweber666 | 06/06/2011 flag |
Metal aberrations? Like the metal plate in your head?
Goddamn this is fun. James Smith - Best. Troll. Ever. -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
mweber666 What wasn't logical? But understanding logic is clearly not something that concerns you. I did answer your immature comment about my sexuality. I pointed out it was exactly the kind of sophomoric remark I expected from someone as developmentally retarded as you obviously are.
I knew you would not respond to my offer of a visit, but whine and squirm to avoid it. Doesn't make you feel even a little embarrassed to be afraid of an "old person"? But maybe you have an mental problem that makes you get some masochistic thrill from being publicly humiliated? That must be it because you keep coming back for more. A mentally stable person would slink away is shame. But nothing you say, no matter how moronic, seems to bother you. Good luck if you decide to seek therapy. With your multiple metal aberrations, you certainly seem to need it.
You shouldn't worry about killing yourself. For a total jerk like you, the worry should be one of your own family members doing to to rid themselves of the shame of being related to you. -
mweber666 | 06/06/2011 flag |
James, you did not respond to my post logically nor did you demonstrate that anything I had written was incorrect. You continue to dodge questions about your non-functioning dick and instead try to get someone to visit you, as if anyone could be around you for longer than 5 minutes without killing themselves.
-
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
@mweber666 I expected a juvenile sexual response. That's what we see from people like you that are a disgrace to the human race.
You ignore direct questions, statements, and challenges because you haven't the intellectual capacity to respond logically nor the courage to face people directly. Why don't you directly address things I have posted? Why don't you demonstrate that anything I have written is incorrect? Why don't you accept my offer to come face me personally?
Those are all rhetorical questions. You've made it obvious that you are a mental, moral, and physical coward. Come on down and I'll show you the time of your life. Heh Heh -
mweber666 | 06/06/2011 flag |
James, just because your dick doesn't work any more doesn't mean you have to take it out on everyone else. I'm sure there are some nice she-males down there that will let you play with theirs...
-
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
Ohh, the other coward heard from! With a typically intelligent remark. That is, totally idiotic. The two of you do have in common that you are cowards and mental defectives. I have an idea, why don't you both come together? Surely the two of you combined would not be as terrified to ace one little "old man"? Or would you? For certain, the American would not be afraid to face either or both of you. Otherwise, would I have offered to pay your way?
-
IGolfBad | 06/06/2011 flag |

You, my friend, are a great American! Cheers! -
James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
@mweber666 I notice you totally ignored everything I posted, much less tried to prove anything was not true. I repeat, you're a coward and a moron.
You don't want to learn anything about who I am and what I am. That might make you take a dump in your skivies. But maybe you've already done that?
The offer of a trip here is till open. Or are you so terrified of an "old person" that you'll continue to ignore it?
You expose your ignorance and cowardice with each post. But people like you are never happy unless they are making themselves look totally stupid. Congratulations, you have succeeded admirably/ -

James Smith | 06/06/2011 flag |
@MWEBER666 You are the perfect example of a webNnazi. You're hiding behind your keyboard and a fake ID to make statements that, made to my face, would get your face pounded to mush. You don't think so? I'll pay your way here and then we'll see who is the brave man.
If you knew anything about me, you'd keep your ignorance to yourself, but you are nothing more than an internet coward, so you spout stupidities without fear of having to back them up with your skin.
You will note that not one person has ever attempted to prove that one word I have posted is not true. Anyone of even average intelligence youd consider why this is. But not you, a certifiable moron. -
mweber666 | 06/06/2011 flag |
James Smith is a perfect example of why they shouldn't let old people on the internet. Go eat some fucking apple sauce and yell at kids to get off your lawn. Nobody wants to hear your bullshit soapbox rants, the fact that you're doing it on a humor website only shows how idiotic you are.

You're fucking pathetic.
I'm done. -
James Smith | 06/04/2011 flag |
@IGolfBad Look in your own mirror, you arrogant asshole. WHat you think you saw from me was simply a reflection of how you have been on these posts.
You are the know-it-all. You admit no possibility that there might be something about pharmacology that you don't know. Where I have plainly stated that not I, you, nor anyone can know everything, even about out chosen fields.
YOu are, as I said, an arrogant asshole.
Now, are you satisfied? You can smugly go away thinking you have "won". I know that is important to someone with a huge ego and a tiny sense of self worth. YOu can reply all you want. I'll never answer you because I know that getting in the last word is vital to your insecurities about yourself. What a simpleton you are. I could add moron, imbecile, and total jerk, but those are self-evident with you. -
IGolfBad | 06/04/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
I haven't time to pour through your posts and quote all the lines you spouted just to display your self-contradiction. You did say all the things I stated you did. Read your posts for yourself.
Congratulations on being a know-it-all. You should be proud of yourself. In fact, I'm pretty sure you already are.
Funny that you rail against insults, yet proceed to fling them about as well. Do they not have mirrors in Brazil? You should take a moment to gaze upon yourself and you just might see all thing things you hate about humanity, or at least, your fellow posters.
You are sad sad little man. -
James Smith | 06/04/2011 flag |
@IGolfBad. I did not say you even implied Franklin's quote was not applicable. That was a question. But apparently, that was too subtle for you.
This isn't a win/lose thing for me as it obviously must be for you. I'm sorry that your sense of personal worth is based upon written discussions with a total stranger.
As far as letting it go, you have no idea what you're talking about. But I think I have a hint. You feel threatened on the issue of anesthetics as you feel that is "your" field. I submit that you don't know everything about it, as much as it might please you to think so.
There are advances being made all the time and research is normally kept a corporate secret, particularly in pharmaceutical fields as the profits for being first and getting patents are enormous. I would think that, after the 24 years of experience you claim, you would know that. But I could be wrong about that. Then there are government programs by organizations such as DARPA, NSA, and the CIA that neither of us has the least idea about what they may be doing in those areas.
You'll notice I made no such absolute claims about aircraft even though I have flown in commercial and private aircraft more times than I can remember. In addition, I have worked as a technical writer in the aerospace and computer industries for decades. All that experience has taught me that no one knows everything about any subject. It's too bad your experience in your own field has not taught you the same wisdom. Arrogant, self-assured pharmacists have a record of killing patients. Only last month, one prepared an epilepsy medication for the grand daughter of a Canadian friend that nearly killed her and did put her in a coma for a time.
You asked me not to engage in insults, yet you have done so yourself. But I suppose when you know absolutely everything about your field, the rules for others do not apply to yourself?
The Charlie Sheen jibe was an example of a mean-spirited little man that cannot think of anything original to say.
Of course you give up. At least you are smart enough to know when you have been thoroughly discredited. -
IGolfBad | 06/03/2011 flag |
One more thing: reread my original post referencing your use of Franklin's quote. At no point did I refute its applicability. I merely stated that it was not an indisputable fact for basis of argument. You seem very quick to judge and reply.
But again, I give up. Enjoy winning, Charlie Sheen. -
IGolfBad | 06/03/2011 flag |
@JamesSmith
I give up. You win. There is no way to have a reasonable discussion with you.
I will continue to watch your posts with great interest, as you truly are very entertaining. Too bad that 68 years hasn't taught you the concept of "letting it go".
As far as my knowledge of anesthetics, well, let's just say that my 24 years as a hospital based pharmacist puts me at a clear advantage of understanding of such compounds over you. I concede the aviation details to you. You in turn should do the same regarding medicine.
Be well, and stay thirsty.
And really, man. Relax a little. Life is too short to take it so seriously. -
James Smith | 06/02/2011 flag |
@IGolfBad
You are wrong on so many counts it's hard to know where to start.
First I am not an "angry young man" I am 68 and I admit, I have never had patience with stupidity.
Tell me, exactly why does Franklin's quote not apply here. It is exactly the situation in the USA today. Are you saying it is not applicable? Then tell me why not. You accuse me of failing to offer verifiable facts, but that seem to be exactly what you are doing.
What you see as insults are no more that statements of observable facts. When someone acts like a fool and an uneducated semi-literate ass, I will say so. If they don't like the statements, change the behavior. I long ago discovered trying to "save the feelings" of people like that only encourages them to greater heights of nincompoop behavior. If I decline to be tactful, I insist upon being honest. Then I have my integrity. That's more than most can say.
There is no gap in my logic. First, I have not "defected" from the USA, I left in disgust. Next, I have many thousands of miles flying on commercial airliners and in light planes over the last 50+ years. I have a few hundred hours of personal time in my logbook on everything from a Cessna 150 to a Mooney Mk 21. So I am not unfamiliar with aircraft design, construction, and flight.
While it is true that not all commercial aircraft have a separate atmospheric system for the flight cockpit, some do. Retrofitting one is not a difficult nor expensive proposition. Today, all commercial aircraft must have a "tightly-fitting, lockable door". To install an inflatable airtight seal, such as the external doors on pressurized aircraft have would be an easy upgrade. FYI, all commercial aircraft do have an oxygen mask system that is independent of those in the passenger cabin.
You are wrong on that account. A separate internal air source, where it is not already in place would be a relatively minor and inexpensive upgrade. It would be far cheaper than all of the TSA nonsense now in place.
Next, to upgrade the present fleet, when needed, could be accomplished during normal maintenance down time. Those aircraft are scheduled t be out of service periodically anyway. Having them out for an additional couple of days would not be a genuine problem. Aircraft are frequently out of service for unscheduled problems and even scheduled maintenance often takes longer than anticipated due to undiscovered problems prior to those scheduled checks.
The public is currently absorbing the cost of the entire TSA fiasco and getting not one bit of additional safety in return. I am not a professional terrorist. Give me a few helpers and a few days to train them and I can take over any commercial flight in the world. Nothing anyone is currently doing would hinder me in the least. What do you think a real terrorist could do if they had not already accomplished their purpose?
You do have a good point about the amount of hijacked planes. You might note that it is nearly zero and is confined not to genuine terrorists but others with a different agenda. My plan would still be far cheaper than what is being done now and would eliminate even that small number of hijackings.
As far as the anesthesia killing people. You forget that medical science has developed much safer inhaled anesthetics and these would also be absorbed through the skin. Then there is the other fact you conveniently over look. When it is known that this system exists and hijackings are going to not work, the system will be used rarely if at all. You seem willing to take the admittedly, very small risk of hijackings and accidents but not of a plan that did not spring from your own brain. Ignoring facts that do not suit your argument doesn't lend credibility to your statements. Nor does making unwarranted assumptions about my age, experience and education.
I live in Brazil and have for over 8 years. Yes, free speech is guaranteed here and protests and public criticism of the government, even a popular one such as Lula's, is common in both speech and print.
I am not hiding behind the protection of my ISP. That's another inaccurate assumption on your part. I use my real name, and where permitted where I live, João Pessoa, Brazil. You might also note, I offered to pay the way here of one person that was being particularly obnoxious to test if he would talk the same way face-to face. You might note, there was no reply, not even a refusal.
You might also take note of my statement that not one person has proven that anything I have posted is not true. To your credit, you have tried, but not really done so well.
Has this been on-insulting and well-formulated enough for you. I'd do more with more references, but it's quite late and I have a few more things I must do today.
FYI, you can learn more about what I am and who I am by going to http://www.vimeo.com or http://www.tubewatcher.tv and entering slrman in the search window in the upper right corner. I have posted videos on those site. Some I made for my own amusement, others for people that requested something specific and a few I did not make but I thought were educational or amusing enough to be of general interest.
Then there is my blog that I periodically write at http://www.slrman.wordpress.com I am not a consistent or prolific blogger, but I have too many other projects to devote much time to that. -

@JamesSmith
Such an angry young man you are. Allow me to make a couple of intelligent points, seeing as you are clearly of superior intellect.
First of all, resorting to name calling and quoting Benjamin Franklin (a reasonably valid quote here, by the way - well done) does not an argument make. An argument is a series of statements backed by confirmable facts to support your belief in a claim. When you take to insulting anyone who disagrees with your position, you assume the position of the fool whose label you have given to others. Cursing and ranting simply makes you look like a lunatic, not a wise man.
Regardless of what others here think of you, there is a gap in your logic regarding the compartmentalization of the airplane's interior. If you've ever been on a commercial airliner, and having defected from our nation, I'm assuming you have (unless you took a drive to Canada or Mexico, and parts south thereof), you'd know that the door to the cockpit does not have an airtight seal. Therefore, the gasses contained within the passenger cabin are common to those within the cockpit. In order for your plan to work, not only would each and every airplane in service around the world have to be retrofitted with a sealable cockpit door, but they would also have to be restructured with two separate internal air sources. I assure you that this is not the case in present day air travel.
Additionally, undertaking such a task of reconstructing the current fleet of airliners would take a significant number of said vessels out of service, thus rendering air travel temporarily less efficient (fewer daily flights, meaning overcrowding), and more expensive (obviously the public would absorb the cost of said reconstruction). This additional cost and time lost would not nearly justify the potential benefits of protection of what amounts to a very tiny fraction of actual hijacked planes per annum.
Another fact you've overlooked in the selective anesthesia plan is that a considerable percentage of the population is hypersensitive to general (inhaled) anesthesia, and the risk of killing a number of passengers by the protection scheme may not be worth the lawsuits that would follow. I highly doubt the families of those who perish would settle for your award of free champagne.
The best I can do is agree with you that the TSA pat down is a less than pleasant inconvenience, but hardly a violation of civil liberties.
Two questions for you: in which country, exactly, have you take up residence, and do they offer you the same rights as afforded by the First Amendment, that is, the right to free speech? As you claim others here are guilty of, you too seem to be hiding behind the protection of your ISP. Would you be able to go out to any public square in your nation and outwardly deride your local and or national government?
I eagerly look forward to your non-insulting, well formulated, educated reply. -

@nagels YOU are a typical internet coward. You makes statements you would never dare make to my face and haven't one shred of evidence to back them up.
YOu are a foll and a liar. I'll be happy to say that to your face, too. I'll even pay your airfare to come to me to do it. -

One of the evils of America, and everywhere, are the arrogant jerks that think they have the right to tell everyone what to do, say, and think. To oppose this evil anywhere is to oppose it everywhere.
@mweber666. What a total asshole you are. I love the way you hide behind your keyboard to say things you would never dare to say to my face. Obviously, you are a typical internet coward, intellectually, ethically, and physically.
Again, not one person has attempted to prove that one word I have said is wrong. The whining, etc. goes on forever. -

Uh oh Lelisec, you practically slapped the dick right out of James Smith's mouth.
Cue the overly serious grandstanding...
