Racism is bad and we're all pretty much on the same page with that one. Accidental racism, while still bad, is also often hilarious, as evidenced by these cases that we are almost certain were completely unintentional. Let us know about any other instances you've seen.

    no, the diaper one is racist because the black baby costs less than the white one.
    I Don't think any of these are INTENTIONAL but just good intentions gone wrong. It's easy to read too much into things sometimes. I personally hate political correctness because it's not enough to watch your mout... it's the actions that count for me!

    Isn't it weird how about 4 of these say that "accidental racism" occurs merely because the word "white" shows up somewhere? It's almost a bad word. In fact, I hear people all the time using the word "white" as a synonym for "bland" and "empty" with respect to personality.

    People should stop jumping at chances to call "RACISM!" I doubt that many people - white or not - would pay much attention to some of the things in these pictures. Anyone can go into any store and find something that looks racist to them.

    I agree with Christy. Instead of trying to micro manange every thing in the name of offense, just work on yourself to become less provoked towards anger. (otherwise anyone can control you).

    Oh, and Teedee, the google thing is a trick. You basically type what you want the bottom part to say by slightly misspelling the word so that google asks "did you mean..." then you retype whatever in the address line but don't hit enter. Then take a screen shot.

    To all the people who cry racism: I would just like to point out that comedians actually make a living on this kind of stuff. The reason it is funny is because of the double meaning that can come from them. If these examples were all about white people it would still be funny and everyone would laugh. This country has gone overboard trying to protect and not offend every person of every color. Stop taking it as a personal slam and have a sense of humor.

    I didn't get how the jig-a-loo is racially offensive. Its a goofy product name with a sexual connotation. It belongs in a different category.

    folks, calm down - it's all about context - a lot of these wouldn't even be noticed if they weren't grouped together on a page like this (although Nigro Nigro and White caught my attention immediately - funny, along with the Google option -scary). Seeing the 2 cereals in a store wouldn't trigger cries of racism. I still don't get the one people keep flagging and sending in of the babies on the diapers. One is for overnight diapers, and one is called little movers. And?

If there was a sign that said Jewish history museum next to a sign that said free showers I'd laugh my ass off and so would most of my Jewish friends because that would actually be funny. As a Jew I must say 400 years? That's what you're bitching about. Get off the fucking cross (something we were actually nailed to by the way).     I love how white people area always saying - just laugh at it, have a since of humor, whats the big deal? As a civilization stripped of its history,religion and dignity. For over 400 years - todays African American is the product of over 400 years of Deep murderous oppression, segregation, shackles, lynchings, torn apart families, decepetion/ Our ancestors dont have statues of heroes and own coprorations handed down from wealthy families. We have intutitional discrimination, perpetual poverty and incarcaration no real wealth and well being which is something whites take for granted. If this was the history of your people you wouldnt think shit is funny either.

    It would be so wonderful if all of these were silly fun to all of us. However, the reality is that many many of them are hurtful to all of us, white and nonwhite, because they place nonwhites in a position of only-partial-humanity, automatic inferiority, and a nasty combination of alienation and ridicule. We really are all in this together, and until we can all laugh at things like this, we should all object. Silence means you condone the behaviour.

    This is ridiculous. Accidental "racism"? The very word "racism" cannot be expressed accidentally, as it's an intentional act. And putting a cake picture in there where a child obviously misspelled words, and saying it has ANYTHING at all to do even in any remote sense with racism? Just ridiculous.

    I agree that the 'black or brown or yellow or normal' comment is in a totally different class than the others. The others are typographical glitches or the like that accidentally end up looking like racist comments. Similar to a lot of scatological humor it is obvious that the result was probably not intended. The 'normal' one is just racist, period.
