4 more of the best instances of shamefully misidentifying a Facebook photo.
LISTS

If Facebook were a televised quiz show where you had to accurately identify celebrities, animals, famous landmarks, or anything else that should be common knowledge, the users in this list would all have scores in the negative double-digits. These cases of false identification should be enjoyed not just for the fun of watching people humiliate themselves, but also as cautionary tales demonstrating the importance of a quick Google Image search before clicking that post button.

OMG I think that might be my stupid response under the picture of the speedometer!!!! I vaguely remember being super tired, and with our old crumby monitor... my 15 seconds of infamy! LMAO

@Deb And we know these people are all Americans how exactly? Find something better to do with your time. No one here is feeding the troll.

  • debISaDIRTYcunt | 05/11/2012 flag  |

    boooooya

  • Deb | 05/04/2012 flag  |

Hey, could Americans possibly be more stupid? Thanks for proving how moronic you all in the Empire are... Hilarious!

  • Sarah206468 | 03/13/2012 flag  |

I think the friend who corrected the sunset picture is th dumbass. It's totally a sunset, not smoke from a fire!

  • lindy | 03/07/2012 flag  |

seriously...when I was younger I had a pic of Jesus in my wallet on a prayer card and little brother asked me why I had a picture of Barry Gibb in my wallet. True story.

    The human mind folks.

Collection of trolls. Sprinkled with some truly idiotic comments. But mostly trolls.

  • DSpencer | 01/09/2012 flag  |

I have never typed Lennon into my phone and it didn't auto correct. Typos aren't
the reason these are on here. "Spac", no matter how you spell it, is from Star Trek.

  • michelle | 01/09/2012 flag  |

i'm only on page 1 so far but you can tell the "spac" and john "legend" ones are typos due to posting via mobile. they just didn't think to spell check before they posted. (example: if you type "wtf" on a new android before you've added the word to your dictionary, it autocorrects to "ergonomics," it's happened to me a few times when i post before checking) anyway, some of these are hilarious :)

Frighteningly, I had no idea that Brittany Murphy had died until I saw the above picture of Alicia Silverstone.

  • Cardioid | 12/02/2011 flag  |

@Eric I think that one was posted because the first person to comment misidentified the speedometer/thermometer as a scale and "111" as someone's weight.

  • Sara1234568985 | 11/29/2011 flag  |

Man, I really hope at least some of these are sarcasm and irony because if not, this country is in sooooo much trouble. :(

Our youth is our future...God help us

The gene Simmons one was the best!

  • davidw | 10/11/2011 flag  |

I'm pretty sure that Bob Hope died in 2003, but the patheticism still stands...

  • Eric | 09/27/2011 flag  |

Look closely, that actually IS the car's thermometer, showing the outside air temperature. Gotta love the irony...

  • Troy | 09/26/2011 flag  |

Why did they pixelate the "eyes" of the shadows on the train tracks?

  • Sad | 09/26/2011 flag  |

I see these, and think that maybe some people shouldn't have computers...or be allowed to mate.

  • Natalie | 09/26/2011 flag  |

Actually, that IS the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Las Vegas.

  • MoNEEka | 09/26/2011 flag  |

    Really?
    REALLY?
I know there are a lot of stupid people out there, but...
    REALLY???
O my Lord God help us all!!!

  • janine | 09/26/2011 flag  |

omg, are all these ppl that stupid???

  • Glo | 09/09/2011 flag  |

These have to fake, quite a wake up call for American schools if these are real.

  • Damien | 09/04/2011 flag  |

    You mean hobbit

  • Konajinx | 09/01/2011 flag  |

Thw Harry Potter one is definitely a troll and has been featured on troll pic sites.

  • andrew | 09/01/2011 flag  |

noticed that the overwhelming majority of these mistakes are made by women

  • wack-a-mole | 08/20/2011 flag  |

I'm scared, all of those people will find other people like them and then have babies. Oh death, where is thy sting?

  • Cardioid | 07/19/2011 flag  |

"the eiffel towers are in las vegas?"

    I got a migraine not 30 seconds after reading that and I don't think it's a coincidence.

Also, stop trying to smooth over that time you mistook a giraffe for a zebra. We all remember.

  • Dustin | 07/19/2011 flag  |

@Mike - might as well just call it Ohiowa. Must have been a pretty wild trip when you're stopping on the side of the road for a shot in front of the Iowa sign.

I'd guess the Harry Potter and NYC Eiffel ones are trolls, but wondering if the girl at the Dodgers game actually went up to Dennis Haysbert and called him Denzel.

  • blargh | 07/18/2011 flag  |

I think the Harry Potter one was intentional. And "Obama". Though you never know. "Can't tell if trolling..."
