When holding a door for someone goes from polite to just plain weird.

We've all felt the crushing sensation of "Damn it, now I have to rush over to the door so this person isn't upset they have to hold it for the entire six seconds it's going to take me to cross the room." As this comic demonstrates, perhaps the door-holder, and not we normal-paced walkers are to blame for this discomfort. Take note, if you hold a door far enough in advance of the stranger's arrival at said door, the act will seem less courteous and more ominous.
